Play and Interest-Based Small Group Sessions
Rachel’s approach to small group sessions celebrates client play styles and interests and prioritizes the safety and security of group members within a welcoming and warm clinic environment optimized to meet a range of regulatory needs. Within this accepting environment, clients can learn to problem-solve differences in opinions and ideas, advocate for their own needs while respecting the needs of others, and build a sense what healthy and unhealthy friendships mean to them.
To ensure small groups are a positive experience for group members, Rachel requires two individual sessions for all clients interested in a small group format so she can gain familiarity with clients before grouping them together.
