Therapy to Foster Social Connectedness

My Clinical Philosophy

I believe in my autistic clients, and they can feel it.

As an autistic SLP with similar educational experiences of my clients, I understand the lasting impact how professionals interact and respond with autistic kids.

Working as both a positive autistic role model and speech-language pathologist, I focus on helping clients all across the autism spectrum access a sense of social connectedness. In traditional skills therapy, only autistic kids with a Level 1 and 2 diagnosis are provided supports to grow social connection. I disagree. I disagree with this practice. All autistic kids deserve opportunity to gain a sense of belonging.

This is the heart and core of my clinical philosophy—access to social connectedness as a human right. I am dedicated to being there alongside these my clients so they can access that human right.
